Even though travelling by private, motorised vehicle is not the most ecological way to explore Kerala, it is, in many cases, the only realistic option. Many tourists will find the discomfort and timings of public transfort in Kerala difficult to accept. Therefore, we offer the option of hiring a car with a driver. Most of our drivers are based in the Periyar area which guarantees that rates are lower than car rental rates from the main cities. Further, we make sure that the drivers attached to Discover Periyar are highly experienced, have pleasant personalities, are English speakers, have a high degree of knowledge of Kerala, and that they keep their vehicles in exemplary condition.
Below you can see the prices that apply when you book a car through Discover Periyar. These prices are applicable if you are using the car as part of a tour or as a separate booking. The kilometre price is for the actual distance that the car has to cover. For example, if you only travel one way, you still have to pay for the distance needed for the car to return to its starting point. The seating capacity listed with each vehicle is the recommended seating capacity. It is possible to fit four passengers in the Ambassador and seven passengers in each of the other vehicles, but this will be less comfortable. The displayed cars are model photos.
