Jungle Camp
40 Km from Periyar Tiger Reserve is the neighbouring reserve Gavi. It is unique in that it is largely unknown by tourists, but offers, more or less, the same tropical forests and wildlife.
There are two options for the jungle camp programme: staying in the guest house located at a picturesque lake or camping in tents. Staying in the guest house allows for six participants. The camping option can accommodate a maximum of 14 persons. The program concentrates on trekking in the forest to sight elephants, bison, Nilgiri langur, Nilgiri tahr, leopard, and birds and butterflies. Vegetarian food is served.
